What you’ll need:

Large bowl

Oven

Cookie cutters (or see alternative below)

small bowls (for frosting)

If you don’t have cookie cutters, try using a glass or nice to cut shapes out!

Recipe for cookies:

3/4 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Chill 1 hour.

Set oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough on lightly floured board. Cut into desired Nintendo shapes and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes.

Recipe for frosting:

Mix powdered sugar and milk in bowl until you have a consistency you like. Separate into smaller bowls and add food dye to get the colors you’ll need.

Using red frosting and some toothpicks we were able to make Staryu cookies! Try doing different cookies with the same shapes. For example, stars can be used for Staryu, Paopu Fruit, Mario stars and much more!
